Gil Epstein, M.D., F.A.C.S.
Dr. Epstein comes to FLEI with advanced training in ophthalmic plastic surgery. He completed his fellowship in ophthalmic plastic reconstructive surgery at The Michael Reese Hospital, University of Illinois, 1980. Dr. Epstein served his medical internship at the Michael Reese Hospital and Medical Center from 1975-76 and completed his ophthalmology residency at the Michael Reese Hospital in 1979. Dr. Epstein is fellowship trained.
He graduated with honors and was Phi Beta Kappa from Emory University in 1971, and in 1975 he earned his medical degree from Tufts University in Boston, Massachusetts.
Dr. Epstein is a member of the following medical societies: Fellow, American Society of Ophthalmic Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery; Fellow, American Academy of Ophthalmology; Florida Medical Association; Broward County Medical Association; and Broward County Ophthalmological Society. He was the recipient of the Honor Award by the American Academy of Ophthalmology in 1993.
