Keith A. Skolnick, M.D.
Dr. Skolnick moved to Florida from New Jersey in 1980 and grew up in nearby Coral Springs. A graduate of the University of Michigan, Dr. Skolnick studied medicine at the University of South Florida in Tampa, graduating near the top of his class. He completed his medical/surgical residency in Ophthalmology at Loyola University of Chicago. He spent a large portion of his training at the Edward Hines, Jr. V.A. Hospital. As a Chief Resident, Dr. Skolnick learned the latest and most advanced methods of cataract, glaucoma, and laser surgery.
Dr. Skolnick is a member of the prestigious International Society of Refractive Surgery and American Academy of Ophthalmology. He is active in research and has published articles in several peer reviewed Ophthalmologic journals. He is an investigator for a number of FDA approved clinical studies related to dry eyes, corneal infections, and blepharitis. He teaches medical and optometry students and medical residents from the local university.
Recently, Dr. Skolnick was one of fifty physicians selected nationwide to participant in the National Ambulatory Medical Care Survey, sponsored by the U.S. Dept. of Health and Human Services.
Dr. Skolnick has been featured on local television news health segments.
Not only is Dr. Skolnick a skilled surgeon and excellent diagnostician, but he is compassionate and dedicated to his patients’ well being. Dr. Skolnick prides himself on keeping up with the latest medical treatments and surgical advancements including both traditional modalities and alternative therapies.
