Keith A. Skolnick, M.D.

Dr Keith SkolnickKeith A. Skolnick, M.D. is a highly skilled board certified comprehensive Ophthalmologist who specializes in cataract refractive and vision correction surgery. He treats a myriad of ocular disorders such as cataracts, glaucoma, eye emergencies / trauma, dry eyes, allergies, infections, inflammatory conditions, and systemic diseases such as diabetes that affect the eye. He has a special interest in premium lens implants for cataract surgery and has implanted all of the FDA approved lenses — Crystalens®, Restor®, ReZoom™, Tecnis®, and Toric®. He performs the most advanced ocular surgery in which no needle injection or stitch is required. He performs many types of laser eye surgery, glaucoma surgery, and vision corrective procedures including LASIK, advanced surface ablation, clear lensectomy & astigmatism treatment. Dr. Skolnick was one of the first surgeons to perform LASEK and Conductive Keratoplasty in South Florida.

Dr. Skolnick grew up in Coral Springs, Florida and graduated in the top ten of his class at Taravella High School. He majored in Neurobiology at the University of Michigan and studied medicine at the University of South Florida, also graduating in the top of his class. At the end of his intern year he was awarded "intern of the year" by his peers and professors. He completed his medical / surgical residency in Ophthalmology at Loyola University of Chicago and spent a large portion of his training at the Edward Hines, Jr. V.A. Hospital. After completion of his training he returned to South Florida and now resides in Davie with his wife and three children. Interestingly, he has an identical twin brother who is also an Ophthalmologist practicing in Palm Beach.

Dr. Skolnick is a member of the International Society of Refractive Surgery, American Academy of Ophthalmology, and American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery. He teaches both students and residents as an instructor for NOVA Southeastern University. He has published articles in several peer reviewed journals and is an investigator for a number of FDA approved clinical studies. He frequently lectures to other doctors and the community about recent advances in Ophthalmology. He has been featured many times on the ABC and FOX news television health segments and local newspapers. Not only is he a skilled surgeon and excellent diagnostician, but he is compassionate and dedicated to his patients' well being. Dr. Skolnick prides himself on keeping up with the latest medical treatments and surgical advancements.
