Keith A. Skolnick, M.D.
Dr. Skolnick lives in Davie and is married with three children. He grew up in nearby Coral Springs and attended JP Taravella High School. He is a graduate of the University of Michigan and studied medicine at the University of South Florida, graduating near the top of his class. At the end of his intern year he was awarded “intern of the year” by his peers and professors. He completed his medical / surgical residency in Ophthalmology at Loyola University of Chicago and spent a large portion of his training at the Edward Hines, Jr. V.A. Hospital. As a chief resident, Dr. Skolnick learned the latest and most advanced methods of cataract, glaucoma, and laser surgery.
Dr. Skolnick is a member of the prestigious International Society of Refractive Surgery, American Academy of Ophthalmology, and American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery. He is also active in research and teaching. He has published articles in several peer reviewed Ophthalmologic journals over the years and has been an investigator for a number of FDA approved clinical studies. He teaches optometry students and medical residents from NOVA Southeastern University and actively lectures to local doctors and the community about recent advances in Ophthalmology.
Recently, Dr. Skolnick was one of fifty physicians selected nationwide to participant in the National Ambulatory Medical Care Survey. Dr. Skolnick has also been featured on multiple local television news health segments. Not only is he a skilled surgeon and excellent diagnostician, but he is compassionate and dedicated to his patients’ well being. Dr. Skolnick prides himself on keeping up with the latest medical treatments and surgical advancements including both traditional modalities and alternative therapies.
