Joining the Fort Lauderdale Eye Institute in 1980, Dr. Epstein is the first physician in Broward County to be fellowship trained in Ophthalmic Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery.

He is also an accomplished oculoplastic surgeon with a special interest in cosmetic laser eyelid and facial plastic surgery.

Dr. Epstein is Board–Certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology and is a member of a number of medical associations and societies. In 1993, Dr. Epstein had received the Honor Award American Academy of Ophthalmology and has been a recipient of the American Medical Association Physicians Recognition Award from 2004 through 2013. Dr. Epstein is an assistant clinical professor at Nova Southeastern University and is involved with the Optometry students and residents.

Dr. Epstein comes to the Fort Lauderdale Eye Institute with advanced training in ophthalmic plastic surgery. He completed his fellowship in ophthalmic plastic reconstructive surgery at The Michael Reese Hospital and University of Illinois Eye and Ear Infirmary in 1980. Dr. Epstein served his medical internship at the Michael Reese Hospital and Medical Center from 1975–76 and completed his ophthalmology residency at the Michael Reese Hospital in 1979.

He graduated with honors and was Phi Beta Kappa from Emory University in 1971, and in 1975, he earned his medical degree from Tufts University in Boston, Massachusetts.

As an oculoplastic surgeon in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, Dr. Epstein has successfully treated patients with ocular conditions such as ptosis (eyelid drooping), eyelid skin cancer (basal cell  and squamous cell carcinoma)  congenital eye disorders, dry eye disease, and patients suffering from eyelid laxity, eye infections, entropion, ectropion , lacrimal (tear duct) conditions as well as thyroid eye disease.

Dr. Epstein is experienced in achieving optimal facial skin rejuvenation results using Botox®, Xeomin®, Dysport®, Radiesse, Restylane®, and Juvéderm® fillers along with laser skin resurfacing procedures (co2 laser), blepharoplasty, and other advanced ophthalmological techniques.
